About Me

Posted by Big Hush

My name is Big Hush and I created Homemade Hit Productions in 2005. I’ve been rapping since late 1999 when I was first exposed to Texas rap music while attending Bryan High School (Class of ’03 baby). I loved every bit of it but couldn’t relate to most of the content, so I decided to make my own. I’m a working man and I put in 40 hours a week to my day job just like you. But through the years, I’ve scraped together a bedroom studio (where I make “homemade hits”… get it?) and worked non-stop in developing my voice, my beats and my image. I am who I am. Many people don’t appreciate or don’t understand me making rap music but those people that DO are the ones I focus on.

The goal of creating HHP was to make great music and become a staple in independent, underground rap whether that be just in Texas or worldwide. I also coined the motto “Music Over Money” and that’s a statement I hold true to with every endeavor. The prices for CDs, shirts, or anything else is only worth a fraction of the work and dedication that is put into it. The music comes first and foremost for me, the cash comes second. I hope you like the songs, videos, graphics, or anything else I bring to the table and I owe a sincere “thank you” to everyone who has supported me thus far. I’m not done yet! Please spread the word, I need every bit of help in getting my music exposed to the world! Thanks for visiting the site and supporting independent music.

Feel free to donate to the movement. There is plenty of equipment and investing I need to make into this passion and its hard to do on a working man’s budget. Thank you for the support.
